AYAN Review - A Perfect Entertainer, Go For It...

My Personal Review ---------> 3.5 out of 5

I watched `AYAN` today with my class friends.. It is one of the hottest releases in `Kollywood` in the recent past!! It can be termed as a `romantic - comedy` being served with lots of `action` or in short, a best `commercial entertainer`..

It was a much awaited movie mainly because of the youngster`s heartthrob `SURYA` and the national award winning cinematographer turned director `K.V.ANAND`.. Well, It`s all `Surya` once again!! A complete flawless, elegant, stylish, lofty and outstanding work by the comely guy!! Never the less, the great actor `Prabhu` and the milky white queen `Tamanna` have too performed perfectly!!.. `Karunas` has too done justice to his role (he is not only playing as a comedian in this film, he has a character too)..

The first half has suspense!! In this half `Surya` travel many countries for his business dealings and then tracks the informer in his group towards the interval.. The dulcet tracks from `Harris` keeps the screenplay on a high note.. This half contains three songs- `Pala Pala` (the intro song! great dance by surya!!), `O aaye aaye` and `Vizhi moodi`.. The locations and dance steps are awesome for all three songs!!..

Second half is a bit slow compared to the first.. But is perfect for the story line!! The much awaited song `Nenje Nenje` comes in this part.. The `Honey Honey` gets a needless entry into the story line up!! But well, its ok!!

U must watch this movie for

--> SURYA, No doubt, marvelous performance by him!!..

--> TAMANNA, She has played her part with perfection!!..

--> Few stunts ( specially the intro chase by surya..!! Quite mind-blowing!! Its first time in tamil cinema, you watch perfectly performed stunts!) and all songs!!..

Negatives:

--> WORST GRAPHICS, again this factor in kollywood accounts for dissatisfaction among viewers!!..

--> A bit over heroism.. In this movie surya showed a bit over heroism (don`t worry only 10% of what vijay shows in his movies!!)..

--> POOR background score, Well, it was quite unexpected from `Harris`.. Throughout the film the background score was flat!! He repeated the same `Pala Pala` music in all the scenes (including sentimental, fight and romance )!!..

Irrespective of these, I am sure that this movie will become a huge hit!!

COCHIN - MUNNAR - ATHIRAMPALLY Tour-> THIRD(Last) DAY

After coming to Munnar, it was very difficult for us to make our mind to leave the beautiful place.. But well, it was 23rd and as per our roll, v planned to go to Athirampally falls on the last day of our tour!!

Athirampally, is too an awesome place but not as good as Munnar.. The climate was bit humid again!!

V started around 8:30 in the morning in the same bus!! It normally takes around 4 to 5 hrs to reach Athirampally from Munnar!! One More Comedy - That SHALIMAR hotel manager called SN hotel and asked them to collect the 300Rs for the AC from us.. When we were leaving the hotel they called us and said like that..

We thought for a moment, gave our phone numbers and went away!!

He didn`t call us then!! ( Yep! OC la AC )

Well, V halted bus in between for breakfast, lunch and VOMITS ( as i said, due to curvy lanes while moving down the hill!! U cant do anything for that!!).. V took our breakfast in a restaurant in Munnar.. It was ok!! (Not bad!!)..

A big prank happened during our Lunch!! V took our lunch in `RED CHILLIES`, a good looking restaurant with bakery!! It looked to be` high class ` from its outlook!! V moved inside and myself with other 4guys ordered Veg. Biriyani.. They took around 30min to prepare and then brought it!!

It looked good initially!!

V were half the way eating that, when one of my friend (Santhanam) found a baby COCKROACH in his biriyani!!

V thought it might have just fallen on the way while bringing!! V didn`t make it an issue and continued eating!!

After a minute V all got tensed!!

U know why??

V found an alive WORM in the dish!! V all got irritated!! Called the manager and shouted him a lot!!

He pleaded in front of us asked us to not to pay!!

Well, V never expected this, that too from a restaurant having nice infrastructure!!

Nice Experience!!

V continued our tour and reached Athirampally around 2:45 pm..

The ticket costs Rs.15 per head and cameras are allowed at Rs.20 per camera!!

V got tickets and went in!! It was sooo beautiful..

Can`t express its beauty in words!! V went in the water, enjoyed 1 and half hrs there and took many snaps in various poses!! It was risky too!! Algae layers were formed in the rocks which made it appear like a skating rink!! So it was very difficult to grip and walk on those rocks!!

And towards the end it started raining which made the climate soo beautiful!!

Well, V left Athirampally by 5:15pm and reached Trichur station at 7:30pm.. Soon v kept our luggage in waiting room and went out for shopping!! Not many shops were open.. V bought chips, sweets etc... Then had our dinner in a pure VEG hotel ( after a long time!! ) near the railway station!! Dinner was very nice!! Finally v tasted good food in Kerala!!

Train arrived sharply at 11:20pm.. Got in, kept luggage aside, played cards for sometime and then had a great sleep!! V reached perambur by 9:40am on 24th ( luckily train stopped in perambur, few meters before the station, due to signal and v jumped out!!) and I reached home by 10:10am..

These were the best days, I have ever spent with my friends!! V missed many guys in this tour!!
But still this tour was special to us!! V enjoyed a lot!! Had many incidence that will stay in our memories forever!! I will never forget this tour and am sure, the other guys too will remember it always!!

COCHIN - MUNNAR - ATHIRAMPALLY Tour -> SECOND DAY

Our first day ended in leaps and bounds!! As per our roster we had to travel to Munnar( a hill station, where nature has gifted everything, it can! ) on second day!! So we woke up at 5:30 in the morning and left to MUNNAR by the same bus arranged for us!! ONE COMEDY- V didn`t pay Rs.300 for the AC and left the hotel!! And well, no one asked us too!!

We had to travel 6hrs from Ernakullam to reach Munnar.. V enjoyed the travel, were dancing and singing all the time!! In between, we halted in a restaurant to have our breakfast.. It was worst!! We ordered parota but attender brought uthapam and asked us to eat that, advising us that it will b good!! Well, I never went to that kind of a restaurant before!! New experience!! Myself and some of other guys came out without eating and just took some biscuits and coffee..

As v went up the hills the climate became chiller n chiller.. And finally in Munnar it was soo cool!! While travelling, many guys took vomit as the way has many sharp, steep turns which quavers your body, causing a state of agitation..

Munnar is completely a greenish beauty!! Covered with TEA estates ( mostly owned by TATA lim.)..



Its a HEAVEN on EARTH!! Everything is Natural and perfect!!



Well, v reached Munnar around 12 noon.. It was very chillllll!! V were made to stay in SN residency which is good as SHALIMAR.. Here V were alloted 4 rooms with 4 members per room and 1 room with 8 members capacity...

Rooms were well furnished and had TVs!! well ACs r not needed in this Climate!!

We refreshed our self in there, had our lunch in SN hotel itself (Food was good!) and started in bus for sight seeing..
We went to DAM ( 5 gates DAM, of which one gate was open when we went there!!), and then went down to ECHO point..
It was crowded so v weren`t able to hear the echo in good decibels!!

We looked for manual riding boats but only few were there so we went down to another place (6 km from echo point!!) for boating!!

Here many peddle boats were there, having capacity of 3members per boat ( two for peddling and one for maintaining direction of the boat) and were charged Rs 100 per boat for 30mins of ride..

V enjoyed boating a lot!! Kept a small boating race within ourselves!! And well, little drizzling on tat time added much more ecstasy to our ride!!

At that time it just felt to stay on the boat for years!! It was a kind of luxury that you can`t describe in words!!

Well, time went on and after finishing boating we came back, went for shopping, had dinner in the same place where we had our lunch and went for a night walk!!
No street lights were there!! It was very very dark and cool and v walked around 3kms shouting and enjoying!!

We went back to hotel by 11am and then had a Cooool, Calm sleep...

COCHIN - MUNNAR - ATHIRAMPALLY Tour -> FIRST DAY

Myself and 22 guys of my class went for a 3 days trip to KERALA... We booked our tour in SUN tourism for Rs.2000per head (excluding food and entry tickets)..We planned for Kerala thinking that it will be the best place in this climate but well, v were wrong, it was very hot and humid over there... The temperature was around 35*c which made it difficult for us to roam on our first day of tour.. Irrespective of the bad climate, the tour was of immense enjoyment..

We left to Coimbatore from Chennai, on 20th, by Intercity express, at 2:30pm.. As v planned the tour off late v couldn`t get reservation in the direct train to Cochin (Eranakulam).. So we had to change train in Coimbatore.. V reached Coimbatore at 10:30pm!! During our 8hrs travel v started our gusto by playing cards, fighting to get share in food, passing badinages etc etc and doing everything that made us look like pointing towards hedonism..

After reaching Coimbatore we had around 3hrs until the arrival of our next train towards Ernakulam!! V took our dinner in a hotel near to the station.. Food was good!! Then v roamed outside the station for an hour!! Took photos in the nearby BUS depo and came back by 1:00am for our next travel..

Train came sharply by 1:15am and v slept nicely after getting in..

V reached Ernakullam around 6 in the morning.. Rooms ( non AC ) were already booked for us in the SHALIMAR hotel, which is very near from the railway station!!V were allotted 4 guys per room!! Rooms were good!! They say its a 3* hotel but it didn`t look to me of that standard!! Well, that Sun tourism personals came to the hotel with a deluxe bus for us.. We took bath, had breakfast and got ready by 10 for sight seeing visit in ferry boating.. V were given a boat and were charged Rs.120 per head for the visit of three small islands !! V visited Bolgatty palace, Chinese fishing net, museum and Jurish Church in those islands.. They said that these islands were founded by Dutch people and yes, still many of them are living there.. The Islands are soo beautiful!! The buildings over there were constructed long ago and they have their own identity!!V enjoyed our 3hrs in those islands, took many snaps with foreigners and then returned back to our bus!! V had our lunch in Abhirami hotel.. It was very humid out there in Cochin.. V couldn`t save our energy for a long time but still v relished a lot!!

After this V went to Chotanikkara temple which is known for many things.. They say, many people, even from different countries come there to get cured from the Black Power.. Here they winnow your soul by capturing the bad power in a doll and hammering it on trees and walls in the temple..


After visiting the temple v went back to the hotel!! were quite drained due to the climate!! V had dinner in AARYA hotel!! Food was good!! Only the room where I stayed, had AC unit, which was charged Rs300 for 24hrs.. V planned to share the money b/w ourselves and asked the attender to switch it ON...

Then What?? HAD a COOOOL n CALM sleep...

Last Match Debacle Continues for INDIA..... Still v have much to CHEER!!

This is not the first time India has lost the last match after winning the series.. The last match of a series is rather proving to be hapless for Indian cricket team.. After the CB series win, India has lost all the final matches of the one day series it has played.. At present, India is in third row of the ICC world rankings table having 123 points.. They could have been at the first position if they would have managed to win the last two matches they lost( one against SL in IDBI cup and the other one against NZ which they lost today)..

Well, irrespective of the loss in last match (which we are least bothered at), India has won the series which by itself is a great achievement.. This IND-NZ series was a biiiiiig treat for every Indain cricket fan.. The exquisite 163* knock by the cricket god SACHIN proved that age has nothing to do with your game!! The scary (71,125*,40) knocks by SEHWAG showed how gloriously he respects a bowler!! The consistent (86*,68) knocks by Captain Cool DHONI explains why he deserves to be the number 1 batsman of the world!! And even RAINA , YUVI & ZAHEER gave some marvelous performances..

Not to forget that, Dhoni took the captain`s responsibility when Indian team was in dreadful form.. He took it as a challenge and well, the result is in front of us!! A team setting records in all forms!! Started from T20s and then is persevering in TESTs & ODIs... And I hope that, India soon occupies the No.1 spot in all form of cricket..

No doubt, Dhoni has been one of the best captain of India so far.. He inspired, motivated team members and lead by front, literally, in all occasions.. He has adapted his game, and has so far filled the void of the Great Wall Of India - DRAVID in his Dhamaka fashion keeping a strike rate of around 93..!! Its never easy to maintain an average of 50 in ODIs after playing around 150 matches.. Well he has done it and it proves his consistency!!

Well, at present Dhoni and his men are at their best form!! Rightly said by Master Blaster, the present Indian batting line up is the best line up in the Indian history.. I pray that this form continues and continues, atleast till the 2011 world cup which is probably the last world cup for the cricket God SACHIN....

Well I wish India all the very best for the coming test series against NZ!! I hope India continues their magnificent form and clinch each and every series they play in the future!!

Last Day Of LECTURE In COLLEGE

Well , I m starting my blogging with a sad note... Today was the last official day ( day of our last lecture ) of our college life...

In this final semester we never reached college in time.. We normally go 30 to 40mins late, basically to show our seniority (`gethu` wat we call it as) in the college, but, today being our last day we went on time.. Asusual, staff was inside the class before we could go in, giving the last lecture, and many doleful faces were watching it.. Some thinking about their future plans, some about their sweet past memories and so on..

Being our last lecture, i thought everyone will rent their ears to the staff but no one did.. Passing banters, badinages were going on at their normal pace.. Well only these have the strength to convert the pale faces to perky..

The lecture ended in an hour.. We took group photos, almost hundreds of stills, from different cams , shared sweet memories of our four years, thanked important persons who made differnces in our life and promised every one that the most special and wonderful relation in the world ` our friendship` will last for ever..

We left college in an hour.. Luckily one of my close friend turned 21 today and around 17 guys came for the treat (which is probably our last treat together).. Had some lovely time in the hotel..

Well these days will never come again in our life , all we have, are the everlasting memories that are printed inside the book in our hearts.. One thing that I can assure is , when ever we turn the pages of this colourful book, tears will start rolling down our eyes.. I ll never forget my friends, specially those who made differences in my life and hope they too remember me for ever... Well, we are almost onto the lane of the next phase of our life, where, a much challenging world is waiting for us..
